An Italian Baroque style walnut Fratino console table from the 18th century, with carved lyre-shaped trestle base, scrolling foliage motifs, dolphin feet and dark brown patina. Created in Italy during the lively 18th century, this Baroque walnut Fratino console table features a rectangular planked top with nicely weathered appearance revealing its good age and use. It is the striking trestle base however, which attracts all the attention with its richly carved décor adorning the splayed lyre-shaped legs and stretchers. Accented with scrolling foliage, the legs are resting on dolphin feet whose striking appearance is typical of the Baroque period. These legs are connected to the top’s underside through two stretchers carved with delicate foliage in the front. Boasting a dark brown patina, this Italian walnut Fratino console table from the 18th century will make for a wonderful addition to any home, placed against a wall in a living room, bedroom or foyer!
